Although college is very fun, it requires hard work! College courses are actually quite different from high school courses, and it may take you a few weeks to adjust during your freshmen year. Never fear though, we are here to give you some tips and tricks to transitioning to college! The WE Link Team welcomes you to campus! With college comes much more responsibility.  You are responsible for completing all of your work on time, as well as knowing your homework schedule as the professor might not remind you when assignments are due.  Many of your assignments will be posted online, so it is important to check Blackboard frequently. In addition, you are much more removed from your professors, and it is your responsibility to reach out to them.  Office hours are a great opportunity to talk one on one with your professors and give them a chance to get to know you.   Purdue’s Fall 2017 semester just began, so here are some reminders to help start the school year off at your best!    Work from 9 to 5       It’s true that students should study at least two hours for every hour they’re in class, so being a student is like having a full-time job.  Studying between classes and keeping a regular schedule will help you stay on track and manage your time efficiently.     Reach Out       Don’t be afraid to say hello to and exchange numbers with peers in your classes.  They can be  a great resource for study groups.  Teamwork makes the dream work.      Use a Planner       Keep track of everything you need to know from your class’s syllabi, lectures, and course pages so you take care of everything your professor asks you to do at the beginning.   Stay Healthy       Remember to eat breakfast, stay active, and sleep to take care of yours...
